AFA 2012

This year AFA seemed to go by so quickly. Funny thing, i wasn't even rushing much for my costume and props this year. However i did only get my Saturday's cos if Shuyin from FFX-2 on friday evening, so there were some editing to do in the middle of the night. Had to replace some parts cause Taobao did a horrible job. After I had made the belts and stuff for my FFVII Crisis Core Zack Fair cos, i feel that i would have done a better job if I had made the accessories myself. But of course, I didn't have the time.

So well, i went early on Saturday to the Expo to redeem my entrance tickets with my concert ones. Thought the queue would be long. Turns out the redemption counter queue was short and fast, but the entry queue was insane. When i finally joined the entry queue, 30 minutes before the actual opening time, suddenly everyone just rushed to the doors, and made a hell of a scene. There was totally no order left. So I just went to the side to find a seat and wait for the rest of my friends to come to get stuff together. I pity those people who queued outside the hall overnight and lost their place to these inconsiderate people.

Finally went in at like 9.15am, and the queue at the Sword Art Online shop was already crazy long. So and took the SAO queue and me and went for the Pokemon booth queue and the AFA shop. Bought hell lot of stuff. I bought 4 AFA t-shirts, 3 for the Electric Groove concert and a AFA 2012 shirt. Got a few Pokemon key chains and badges too.

When I returned to the SAO line, found that we didn't move much. But i managed to find a friend near the front and i cut in to get some stuff. However most of the shirts with the really nice designs were already sold out, of didn't have my size any more. So in the end I got myself and a shirt each, a calendar, a lanyard and a badge for myself.

Through the course of the weekend, the amount of stuff i bought: 4 AFA T-shirts, 1 SAO T-Shirt, 1 SAO Lanyard, 1 SAO badge, 6 Pokemon badges, 3 Pokemon BW character key chains, a katana so I don't have to borrow one whenever I need one again, Infinite Stratos pouch, Infinite Stratos handphone strap, a Fairy Tail pouch, a box of Fairy Tail long poster and a Pokemon BW2 print. Missed out and the Fairy Tail bag and shirt though. Was super annoyed at that. Sigh...

So I cosed Shuyin on day one with as Lenne, but she came really late and we didn't really get to hang out together much. Sunday was as Shinpachi from Gintama 2 Year Later arc. Was quite epic. People kept saying how dorky and geeky i look, and that it fit me LOL

The best thing of AFA was the concerts. The 3 day I Love Anisong concert was awesome. Friday had TM Revolution solo concert. Followed by Saturday's BABYMETAL, m.o.v.e, fripSide, LiSA and FLOW. Sunday was Hachioji-P, Sea*A, Minami Kuribayashi, Sphere and May'N.

The ones that got me all high was fripSide, LiSA, FLOW, Sea*A, Minami Kuribayashi, Sphere and May'N. As for TMR, it was because i only know their Gundam Seed/Destiny songs. Not that i didn't enjoy them; the were great, but I enjoyed the Saturday portion more. But but but, I managed to watch the Sunday concert in VIP seats, even though i bought the standard tickets. All because there were empty seats in front and and called me to the front. My hands are sore from shaking light sticks so much that I think that I have grown more muscles over this 3 days as compared to 1 week in camp. And now my voice is really sexy xD

Money well spent, especially for the Anisong concert. And the amount i spent on merchandise are like a compensation for not attending AFA last year because of my enlistment.

Oh and on Sunday, i managed to take a photo with Reika and Hiko. Too bad i didn't catch Hiko on Saturday though. Would have loved a photo with her in her Lollipop Chainsaw, Juliet Starling cos. But well, beggers can't be choosers.




Was going to take photo with Kaname too, just for the heck of it, but his "Bodyguards" were kind of... Anal. There were some girls who were in front of my requested to take photo with him but the "bodyguards" rejected. They pleaded with them with no avail. Even Kaname put his hands together and pleaded with them, but still they didn't allow. All the girls got was a handshake. Super anal body guards. Wouldn't have hurt for just a few shots.

Directly after AFA though was suppose to be on leave from camp, but shit happened, so i had a bad post-event blues day. Was in a bad mood most of the day, being tired, sore, hungry and having my leave cancelled, and the dumb rain splashing all over me didn't help. Not going to go in detail here. But it was just a horrible day. Could have been out with friends watching a movie or singing karaoke.
